Dec 4, 2018 · Pit Boss 3-Series Vertical Electric Smoker I asked around and read as much info on this smoker and Pit Boss as I could find. There really isn’t much info on this model, so now that I have one I’ll try to fill in that space a bit with my opinion. I have over 10 years with a Bradley Original Smoker, it’s been a good dependable unit.
Help with temp setting on Pit Boss electric smoker
Apr 20, 2020 · They're tender and after 3 hours in the Pit Boss with a mixture of hickory and cherry wood, they have a very nice smokey flavor. The last 2.5 hours in the smoker, the temp hovered between 225 and 250, so it worked well. I just found out that I have to crank the heat to 350-375 to actually achieve 225-250.

Nov 17, 2018 · I have some questions about the Pit Boss 3-Series Digital Electric Vertical Smoker. I have been smoking food for about 10 years with a Bradley Original Smoker. It has been a great smoker over the years, always worked as it was supposed to. My only complaint is the analog control, especially up here in the northern climate.

May 9, 2021 · I've just tried to do the initial "Burn Off" for my BRAND NEW Pit Boss blue blazing 3 series vertical Electric Smoker. Manual stated a temp of 350° for about 30-40 minutes. After 2 hrs the temperature gauge was still only reading 250°. I have been in touch with Pit Boss customer service and am awaiting their response.

Nov 3, 2020 · 2,005. Location. Kalamazoo, MI. Sounds like the ignitor went out. Take everything out and look inside at the heating element. If it doesn't turn red it is out. I am not familiar with the Series 2 so it might have a different set up. You probably should give Pit Boss a call and leave them a call back number. Nov 10, 2020.

The instructions just say turn it on and let it burn at 350 for 45 minutes. It does not specify if I need pellets and water in there for the initial burn.

Nov 28, 2020 · So I got my Pit Boss Series 5 Copperhead back up and running with a Rec Tec (or now Recteq) controller. My problem is that I set the controller temperature to 225, the controller shows an actual 225, and the Rec Tec remote probe sensor hanging in free air in the cabinet shows 130-140.

May 30, 2021 · Im new to electric smokers Ive always used just a barrel grill I built a small charcoal fire on one side and smoked meat on the other. Lots of tending, usually slowed my cooking times since to do anything I had to open the whole thing. Well last year I got a Pit Boss Electric smoker. Just a little up right one no hopper or auger.
