Dec 17, 2022 · You can buy physical games from Playstation at https://direct.playstation.com (confirmed because I bought one just now). I believe that their other online store (store.playstation.com) only lets you buy digital games.

Another option you have is buying the game a different region of the PS store where it can be cheaper. You will have to create a new account though to buy it, but you can play the game through your original account.
