My question is when replacing the fiber optic light at the deep end of the pool I can not drain the water below the light due to the placement of the light. If I drain the pool to that depth I take a chance of cracking the fiberglass due to back pressure.

Jul 28, 2018 · What you will have is a short circuit of water from the return 90 degrees opposite the skimmer into that skimmer. You will have two pools of water with short paths and the rest of the water will be blocked from the skimmers and have trouble flowing into them. You are over designing this. Simpler is better.

Sep 20, 2019 · I have 2 Hayward Color LED's from new pool build last year. 1 died at 13 months. Other one still alive. Replaced under warranty from the builder but they wanted $$ for labor. Can't recommend the Hayward lights either. My suggestion... buy the cheapest one you can stand, and expect to have to replace it every 2-5 years.
