The game mode features up to four players fighting Cryptids (ancient creatures that have existed before the dinosaurs) in outbreak sites where the Cryptids have overrun the area. Oct 13, 2023 · -Ghosts maps are too big and complicated. It took the traditional arcade feel out of Call of Duty. The purpose of Call of Duty is simply to run around and shoot enemies, not make long methodical decisions how maneuver the map and approach enemies. -The graphics and colors were dull, and players blended in with the background too well.

Sep 27, 2022 · Following up the run of CoD4 to BO2 was a death knell for Ghosts. Those games set really high expectations for Ghosts, and unfortunately, Ghosts did not meet them. However, it was not a bad game in my opinion. Had Ghosts come out sometime in the last 3-4 years, it would be held in much, much higher regard than it is now.

Overall though, I think CoD Ghosts had the best Perk balance, perk diversity, and most interesting options available. There were plenty of callbacks to the Cod4 style perks (Extra Tac, Extra Frag, etc) plus quite a few new ones that were really intriguing expansions of previous perks (On the Go, Takedown, ICU, and Ping).

The complaint I hear the most is that the maps are too large which slowed the pacing down in multiplayer. Additionally, it is important to remember that ghosts came after Blops II, a nearly unanimous favorite. I loved Ghosts. Personally, the era from Ghosts to MW19 was an incredible time for call of duty.
