As of December 6th, 2024 we'll be saying farewell to new purchases of the SEGA Mega Drive and Genesis Classics & Dreamcast Classics. Both of these great bundles and select individual games will be delisted on Steam December 6th.

Nov 6, 2024 · First, Sega delists the individual classic Sonic titles to push the (much more expensive) Origins collection. Now, this. Delisting will never not be a stupid, anti-consumer decision, even if the games do end up becoming available again later, in some altered form.

Jan 19, 2025 · I absolutely love handheld gaming. Especially on retro portables. I do remember the Game Gear getting a lot of airtime on commercials (my biggest memory is the Christmas commercial where the kid tells the dad he wants a Sega Genesis or Game Gear). I didn't own one until after 2000, but I love the library. Then there's the Neo Geo Pocket Color.

Nov 6, 2024 · Good to hear, looking forward to it! Reading that list of well know Sega titles that are currently in development is a bit depressing if one thinks about that bottomless creative bursts that characterized the former Sega tho. We'll see how things pan out from there at least.

Sega and Capcom are bringing back beloved IP that either stopped selling well, or never sold well, where as MS is bringing back stuff that was already successful that they just stopped producing.
