Dec 26, 2010 · I am making a pumpkin spice cake roll tomorrow, using a DH spice cake mix. Should I bake this on a 10x15 pan or a 12x18? I am afraid if I use the 10x15 it will run over the sides of the pan or the 12x18 will make the cake too thin.

Dec 16, 2008 · A jelly roll is usually made with a sponge cake... which makes it less prone to tearing when you roll it. If you really wan to do a cake mix I would do a doctored cake mix.. because I think a virgin mix would break way too easily. The WASC recipe is very sturdy and should hold up well, but I don't know how well it will roll.

Oct 31, 2005 · In this case, I used 2 boxes of Pillsbury Moist Supreme Classic White cake mix & 8 egg whites (each box said to use 4 egg whites for pure white cake); mixed according to instructions with the doubled amounts of oil & water & baked in a 10x15x3 pan at 325 degrees for at least 1 hr. (started checking after 40 min.).

I have always gotten rave reviews, and people mistake them for scratch cakes! I don't really notice any added sweetness, just fluffier, lighter cakes! Sherry.
