Xbox Cloud Gaming is coming to some LG TVs “later this year,” Microsoft and LG announced at CES 2025. When the feature is available, if you have an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, you’ll be able to stream games from the Xbox Game Pass library and select titles that you already own from the LG Gaming Portal.

That's thanks to a new year team-up between Xbox and LG, bringing support for Xbox Cloud Gaming to LG Smart TVs later this year. As shared on Xbox Wire, these LG TVs will soon allow players to browse and play Xbox games through the Cloud via the upcoming Gaming Portal app.

Through this partnership, users of the latest LG Smart TVs will be able to access hundreds of games through a new Xbox app and the Gaming Portal, an all-in-one solution that provides seamless navigation and extensive game customization.

With the tech convention extravaganza that is CES 2025 going on in Las Vegas this week, Microsoft and LG announced a new collaboration. In the coming year, LG will begin integrating Xbox Cloud Gaming into its new LG Smart TVs, allowing Game Pass Ultimate subscribers to access their favorite Xbox games via Microsoft’s cloud-based streaming services.

Some Xbox Cloud Gaming titles support touch controls on smartphones and tablets. However, a wireless Bluetooth controller is a better option for a smart TV when playing console-oriented games. Microsoft's first-party Xbox controller is an obvious solution with widespread compatibility. Pairing these peripherals to LG TVs is usually straightforward.

It’s teaming up with LG’s television division to prove it, announcing a partnership that will bring Xbox games, via Microsoft’s cloud gaming platform, to select LG TVs. That’s in addition to some Samsung TVs that already support the service, plus Apple, Amazon Fire and Android devices that can tap into cloud gaming via their respective Xbox apps.

As of Jan. 8, the LG 43-inch UT70 Series 4K Smart TV is on sale for $229.99 at Best Buy. Xbox Game Pass Cloud Gaming arrives on LG TVs in February.
