A statewide Amber Alert has come to a deadly end in Medina County after a police-involved shooting. The 7-year-old girl who was abducted in Southeast Ohio on Monday, Nov. 11 is safe and has been returned to family members without injury,

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said the incident took place at 3 p.m. in Empire, located along the eastern Ohio and West Virginia border.

An Amber Alert has been issued for a 7-year-old missing from Jefferson County in northeastern Ohio. Oaklynn Alexander was last seen around 3 p.m. Monday on Midway Street in the city of Empire wearing a gray hoodie, black pants and white shoes. Authorities said she is 4 feet tall and weighs 55 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes.
