An LSU student has been arrested after allegedly making an online threat to kill Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry, who advocated for bringing a live tiger onto the field as part of a recent college football game.

LSU had a special guest in attendance for its 42-13 loss to Alabama in Week 11. Louisiana governor Jeff Landry pushed for the inclusion of a live tiger during LSU's pregame festivities, and he got his wish when an ersatz Mike the Tiger took to the sidelines in a cage prior to kickoff.

The governor blamed "woke people" for ending the live tiger tradition at LSU games and spoke about the most recent exotic animal visit. "If the tiger has any fault, you can’t blame him unless he can stay for the whole game,

LSU previously ended the tradition of bringing a live tiger to the sidelines of games in 2016, when Mike VI died.
