Former U.S. representative Barbara Lee on Monday filed paperwork with the city of Oakland, a sign that she may be planning a run for the mayor's office.

She filed the paperwork on Monday, according to the city of Oakland's Public Ethics Commission and the Secretary of State. Lee has not yet made a formal announcement and was not available for immediate comment.
