The Memphis Grizzlies are approaching the halfway point of the 2024-25 NBA season with hopes of making a run toward competing for a championship. If the Grizzlies are to achieve that goal, the returns of some key injured players will be crucial.

The Memphis Grizzlies have managed to position themselves in the mix for the second seed in the Western Conference, all while having the most combined missed games among players on their roster, several of which have been by Ja Morant.

Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant is considered week-to-week with a grade 1 AC joint sprain in his right shoulder, the team announced Monday.  The injury came on Friday as the Grizzlies faced the New Orleans Pelicans.

Morant played in just nine games in the 2023-24 season, with the Grizzlies then finishing the season with a 27-55 record. In the 2024-25 season, Morant was getting back in his groove — but now, he's once again dealing with an injury.

Grizzlies star Ja Morant scored a team-high 31 points in the loss, but these games have been highly competitive between the two teams, which have split the last 10 games 5-5 apiece. Morant has missed the last four game with an AC joint sprain.
