More than 40 years after a man was murdered in northwest Indiana, police say they’ve caught the killer thanks to the work of detectives who are father and son.

Rhyker Earl, 26, died of cardiovascular disease, an enlarged heart, and cardiac arrest, according to the Lake County Coroner's office. A forensic autopsy found no evidence of trauma.
