The AHL All-Star Classic coming to Rockford in 2026 is a big win for the local economy, according to city leaders.

A major event is coming to Rockford next February as the BMO Center will be hosting the 2026 All-Star Classic American Hockey League President Scott Howson spoke to the crowd Sunday afternoon to make the announcement.

Skills Competition will occur Feb. 10, Hall of Fame Induction and Awards ceremony and AHL All-Star Challenge will occur on Feb. 11

AHL president and CEO Scott Howson announced on Sunday at BMO Center that the Rockford IceHogs will host the 2026 AHL All-Star Classic. The skills competition will be held on Feb. 10 and the All-Star Game on Feb. 11. The AHL will also hold its Hall of Fame induction and award ceremony on Feb. 11.

Michelle’s weekend kicked off with dinner with her sister-in-law Erin and her friend Ellen. She also attends a Monster Truck show before heading to the BMO Center to host the IceHogs game. She revealed that the AHL All-Star Classic is coming to Rockford in 2026.

Rockford is an All-Star city. This past week, the Rockford IceHogs were building up excitement for a big announcement. It came Sunday during the first intermission of their game against the Milwaukee Admirals.
