EA has finally shared what's next for The Sims 4 and it isn't The Sims 5. Here's what players can expect, plus what to know about the Sims movie.

Because of comparisons to the initial Project Rene reveal, which showed off a detailed furniture customization system that led players to believe the game would become The Sims 5, quite a few players have suggested that Project Rene could have been internally downscaled or even scrapped entirely and replaced.

More information has emerged about The Sims' multiplayer spin-off Project Rene, following a playtest, and the screenshots are being ridiculed by fans.

Previously referred to by some as "The Sims 5", Project Rene is not a direct sequel to The Sims 4. EA has clarified that Project Rene will be a standalone online experience, while The Sims 4 continues as the main game.
