Asus ROG’s next-gen high-end Strix Scar laptops include more ‘AniMe’ lights to annoy anybody sitting across from you.

The Strix Scar 18 now feels sleek, and that makes all the difference. The keyboard sits flat to the top of the inner deck, with no dent in the chassis to accommodate it. The finish looks and feels somewhat satin, and seems remarkably resistant to fingerprints—a bug bear of mine on almost all gaming laptops.

Asus has unveiled a range of new gaming hardware at CES 2025, including Asus 2025 ROG Flow Z13, ROG Strix SCAR 16/18 series, and more.

Asus showed off its latest fleet gaming laptops, plus a new desktop, all with the latest components. On-the-go gamers will also appreciate updates to the Flow Z13 tablet and its eGPU.

The Z13 supports USB-C Power Delivery for charging, but that won’t be powerful enough to allow its full performance under load. Instead, it comes with a 200W power adapter that uses Asus’ proprietary and reversible slim power jack — like on its recent laptops.

The original ROG Flow Z13 was always a bit of an odd machine. It felt like the strange lovechild between a Surface Pro and a traditional gaming laptop. But at CES 2025, ASUS is giving the tablet a much needed refresh that includes a massive performance boost thanks to the company’s updated XG Mobile graphics dock.

ASUS has unveiled its updated ROG Zephyrus G14 (GA403W) and G16 (GU605C) gaming laptops at CES 2025. The 2025 Zephyrus G14 features AMD's latest Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor, paired with the just-announced NVIDIA RTX 5080 Laptop GPU using the Blackwell architecture.
