But he turned things around to beat Alex de Minaur on Tuesday.

American Taylor Fritz won his first match in the group stage of the ATP Finals when he beat Daniil Medvedev 6-4 6-3 on Sunday after the Russian lost his cool and risked getting defaulted because of his bizarre antics.

Taylor Fritz benefited from a questionable serving decision by Daniil Medvedev and frustrated his opponent so much that the Russian broke his racket and was docked a point in a 6-4, 6-3 victory for the American in the opening match of the ATP Finals.
