The Hurricanes had to sweat out a late scare after Virginia Tech quarterback Kyron Drones threw what appeared to be a 30-yard touchdown pass on the game's final play to receiver  Da'Quan Felton.

Miami came away with a 38-34 victory in the ACC game. The Hurricanes trailed for much of the contest but Cam Ward pulled off a miraculous plays shaking off a couple of Hokie sack attempts to flip a pass to Riley Williams that somehow went for 26 yards.
