Millions of Social Security recipients will receive their first monthly retirement checks of 2025 in nine days. Social Security beneficiaries who were born from the 1st through the 10th of his or her respective birth month will receive his or her regular monthly check for January from the Social Security Administration on Jan.

Here is the January Social Security payment schedule for retirement, disability, and survivor beneficiaries, as well as those who receive Supplemental Security Income (SSI).

Social Security's maximum benefit will reach a record $5,108 per month in 2025. This is the first time any retiree will take home more than $5,000 per month from the program. But only a select few will receive anything close to this amount.
