Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel has joined a multi-state coalition of attorneys general suing to stop the pause on trillions of dollars in federal funding as ordered by the President’s Office of Management and Budget.

The new policy, issued by the President’s Office of Management and Budget, puts an indefinite pause on the majority of federal assistance to states.

Questions remained Tuesday about which programs would be covered by the federal funding pause announced Monday and which would not.
