The airstrike on a Beirut suburb on September 20 resulted in at least 37 deaths, including three children and seven women, as reported by the Lebanese health ministry. Among the casualties were prominent Hezbollah leaders Ibrahim Aqil and Ahmed Wahbi,

Israel has claimed the death of a senior Hezbollah military official after a rare Israeli airstrike in Beirut killed at least 31 people and wounded dozens more, shortly after Hezbollah pounded northern Israel with 140 rockets.

More than 60 people were also wounded in the attack, of whom 15 remain hospitalized. Search and rescue are ongoing and the number of casualties will likely rise.
