Pep Guardiola's team continue to set unprecedented standards of excellence despite the legal cloud currently hanging over the Etihad Stadium

Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta hasn’t had much luck against his mentor Pep Guardiola. He is 1-7-1 in nine Premier League games as a manager against Guardiola’s City. Despite staying in the title race until the end for the past two seasons, Manchester City has come out on top each time.

City were held at home by Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday, in what was a repeat of the 2022-23 final. It was the first time City have been kept scoreless since a 0-0 draw with this weekend's opponent's Arsenal back in March.
