Fifteen minutes before the world premiere of ‘Twinless,’ a dark comedy that sees ‘The Maze Runner’ star playing a character who is grieving the loss of his twin brother, the actor was practically giddy as he talked about the film.

The war satire “Atropia” about actors in a military role-playing facility won the grand jury prize in the Sundance Film Festival’s U.S. dramatic competition, while the Dylan O’Brien movie “Twinless” got the coveted audience award.

Technical issues aside, James Sweeney's sophomore outing as writer, director and star was very warmly received inside Park City's Eccles Center Theatre to help kick off this year's Sundance Film Festival.
