Heineman was hit by a car traveling at a low speed as he crossed a street by himself not far from the team hotel shortly after the Canadiens returned from practice Monday afternoon. As lucky as Heineman was to avoid serious injury, he is still expected to miss three to four weeks with an upper-body injury.

Montréal Canadiens forward Emil Heineman was struck by a car as a pedestrian. The accident happened in Salt Lake City, Utah, and it’s been announced that the Swedish forward will be out for 3-4 weeks.

The team later confirmed Emil Heineman suffered an "upper-body" injury and is expected to be sidelined for three to four weeks.
