Ahead of the Academy Award nominations (which were recently delayed), the nominations for the 45th annual Golden Raspberry Awards have been announced, and several comic book movies were... recognized!

For anyone unfamiliar, the Razzies are the antithesis to the Oscars, seeking to spotlight, mock, and shame the “worst” movies of the year. Some people find this a cathartic part of the awards season that counteracts the solemnity of it all with a bit of levity. Others think the Razzies denigrate the hard work the cast and crew put into a movie.

Folie a Deux, Madame Web, Megalopolis and Reagan have tied for the most Razzie Awards noms, which recognize the worst movies and performances of the year. The films tied for tops with six noms apiece,

The other films rounding out the five Worst Picture nominees were video game adaptation Borderlands and Dennis Quaid vanity project/biopic Reagan. All five movies were also well-represented in additional categories including Worst Actor, Worst Actress and Worst Screen Combo.

The nominees for the best of the worst of cinema – the awards known as the Razzies – were released Tuesday, and the oft-derided “Joker” sequel led the pack.
