Nvidia will soon be introducing a hard playtime cap of 100 total hours to nearly all levels of their GeForce Now cloud gaming service.

Nvidia announces that its cloud gaming service GeForce Now will be adding a playtime limit to provide short queue times and a premium experience.

Revamped Performance plan upgrades graphics to 1440p from 1080p, but introduces a 100-hour monthly time limit, which also applies to Ultimate members.

GeForce Now is Nvidia’s answer to cloud gaming and competes with Xbox Game Pass and perhaps Steam Remote Play as an offering that opens up access to triple AAA games to more players by making them accessible regardless of whether a player has high-end hardware.

Next year, everyone — including premium tier subscribers — will see monthly streaming time limited to 100 hours. For subscribers, that is quite a hefty number of hours but wipes out the unlimited playtime that has been available.

Although this cap will initially apply only to new GeForce Now members, all current paid subscribers will see their unlimited playtime end on January 1, 2026.
