Mainly sunny skies are back across the Front Range on Thursday, keeping highs above average with a much lighter wind in the Denver weather forecast.

Weather Advisory is active through 5 p.m. Thursday for the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, Wet Mountains, upper Rio Grande Valley and eastern San Juan Mountains, NWS forecasters said.

Portions of southwestern Colorado will see nearly a foot of snow this week with some potential for snow south and east of Denver by Wednesday night into Thursday, according to NWS forecasters.

The Pinpoint Weather team is also tracking mountain snowfall for this weekend that should see a few inches of accumulation in the central and northern mountains, mostly on Saturday.
