The Los Angeles Chargers got what could be considered good news this week when it went public that Khalil Mack intends to stave off retirement and keep playing . That could spur a Mack return to the Chargers despite his scheduled trip to free agency soon. It could also mean the end of the Joey Bosa era for the Chargers.

The National Football League today announced that Los Angeles Chargers outside linebacker Joey Bosa has been named to the 2025 Pro Bowl Games. The all-star nod marks Bosa’s fifth career Pro Bowl selection,

The Los Angeles Chargers are one of the most interesting teams in the NFL right now ahead of the offseason, in part because the speculation around the futures of Joey Bosa and Khalil Mack continues to ramp up.

Bosa and Mack teamed to help the Chargers become the NFL’s stingiest defense in 2024, giving up an average of only 17.7 points.

Bosa finished the 2024 regular season with 5.0 sacks among his 22 tackles (17 solo) in 14 appearances (nine starts). Bosa's days as a dominant pass rusher appear to be behind him, as he has just 14.0 sacks over the past three regular seasons while being limited to 28 appearances over that span.
