According to NFL insider Ed Werder, the Dallas Cowboys are hiring Eberflus as their defensive coordinator under new head coach Brian Schottenheimer.

Cowboys opt for Schottenheimer as new head coachThe Dallas Cowboys have agreed terms with Brain Schottenheimer and will appoint him as their new head coach replacing Mike McCarthy, the team said on their website. The Cowboys said Schottenheimer agreed to terms on Friday evening after two interviews earlier in the week.
