Jan. 21 (UPI) -- Comedian Bowen Yang and actress Rachel Sennott are set to share the Oscar nominations on Thursday. In a social media post Tuesday, The Academy shared that the pair will announce Oscar nominations at 8:30 a.m. EST.

LOS ANGELES -- Stars Rachel Sennott and Bowen Yang are set to announce the 97th Oscars nominations on January 23. After a series of delays due to the LA-area fires, the 97th Oscars nominations presentation will proceed live, this Thursday, from the Academy's Samuel Goldwyn Theater.

Usually by this time, one or two movies have emerged as the clear favorites for best picture. Not so this year.

The 2025 Oscar nominations were announced on Thursday. “Emilia Pérez” leads the field of nominations this year with 13 in total. Following close behind with 10 each are “The Brutalist” and “Wicked,” while “A Complete Unknown” and “Conclave” scored eight each.
