Sussex County kids are reveling in their extended Christmas vacation, out of school for an extra week now due to snow, while their frazzled parents are wondering why the roads still aren't clear. It snowed about 10 inches in southern Delaware on Monday, Jan. 6, the most in the state.

Some schools, government agencies and businesses will remain closed Tuesday in Sussex County. Over 9 inches of snow fell in parts of the county Monday and as people prepared for bed, many roads had not yet been plowed.
