The largest blaze, the Palisades Fire, which ranks as the most destructive in Los Angeles history, scorched nearly 20,000 acres and was 6% contained. Meanwhile, the Eaton Fire near Altadena and Pasadena was at 0% containment as it grew to over 13,

Fires continue to rage across the Los Angeles area, prompting evacuation orders, power outages and curfews. The Palisades, Eaton, Hurst, and Kenneth fires have collectively consumed over 10,000 homes and structures.

Fierce winds fueled new fires and made it harder to contain the largest blazes, which have destroyed whole neighborhoods and have become some of the most devastating in California’s history.
