Resident Evil Zero could be getting its first big-screen adaptation, and rumors suggest the one responsible could be the director of Barbarian, Zach Cregger

Barbarian director Zach Cregger is reportedly in talks to helm a new Resident Evil movie. It was recently reported that he was offered to direct a new Clue movie, but apparently, he turned that down and is now looking at playing in the Resident Evil sandbox.

Per a tip from The InSnieder, via Inverse, it appears that Sony has tapped Barbarian director Zach Cregger for our latest potential trip to Raccoon City. In a twist worthy of a mansion murder mystery, Cregger allegedly landed the post after departing that same studio’s efforts to make the long in development Clue reboot happen.
