Canucks Send Arturs Silovs To AHL; Call Up Top Prospect
The Vancouver Canucks made some roster moves as they sent Arturs Silovs to the AHL and called up top prospect Jonathan Lekkerimaki.
Canucks' Arturs Silovs: Sent to AHL
Silovs was assigned to AHL Abbotsford on Sunday. Silovs struggled to open the season with Vancouver, going 0-2-1 with an ugly .808 save percentage. The 23-year-old netminder will look to get on track in the AHL.
Canucks recall top prospect Lekkerimaki, assign Silovs to AHL
The team announced Sunday that they had recalled Jonathan Lekkerimaki, as well as goalie Ty Young, from AHL Abbotsford. In a corresponding move, the Canucks assigned goaltender Arturs Silovs and forwards Arshdeep Bains and Nils Aman to the AHL.

Lekkerimaki was recalled from AHL Abbotsford on Sunday. Lekkerimaki has five goals and two assists in seven AHL outings this season. With Brock Boeser (upper body) out indefinitely, the 20-year-old Lekkerimaki could make his NHL debut in a top-six role versus Calgary on Tuesday.
