To get the most out of their Pro Bowl quarterback, the Seahawks went with a proven commodity in Klint Kubiak as their new offensive coordinator.

Seattle has plenty of obvious appeal for Kubiak. Working under a defensive-minded head coach like Macdonald will give Kubiak a freer rein over the offense. He’s accustomed to such an arrangement, as his first two OC jobs were under defensive coaches ( Mike Zimmer in Minnesota, Dennis Allen in New Orleans).

Kubiak could bring a philosophical shift and staff changes as the Seahawks' offense tries to highlight it's top players more.

The Seattle Seahawks will name former New Orleans Saints offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak to the same role, NFL Network reported Sunday.
