The UK's Met Office has issued three yellow weather warnings for wind today (January 26), plus one for heavy rain. Herminia is set to move east throughout the day, hitting the South West first, where the fiercest winds are expected.

Met Office weather warnings are in place across the UK today as the Spanish named Storm Herminia arrives in the UK and Ireland. The Met Office has warned the damage could be more widespread due to the impact of Storm Eowyn.

The Met Office has since released several yellow warnings for wind across the country, including London and South East England. North West England, some of the Midlands, and Wales have also been plunged under the warning. The alert is in place until 10am today.

The Met Office has issued yet another yellow weather warning for the region in the wake of Storm Eowyn. A 24-hour weather warning for wind has been issued, which will come into effect just 17 hours after the current warning for wind.

Several parts of the country will continue to witness unsettled conditions as the Met Office has issued snow, ice, and wind warnings for this weekend. The yellow alerts come after Storm Éowyn wreaked havoc on Friday, with 100mph recorded at Drumalbin, Lanarkshire.

MORE weather warnings have been issued for Dorset in the wake of Storm Eowyn. Winds of between 50 and 60mph could hit the county on Sunday, the Met Office has warned. A yellow warning will be in place from 8am on Sunday,

The Met Office recommends keeping essentials such as warm clothes, food, and water in cars due to the likelihood of travel delays.
