The first time Patrick Mahomes led the Kansas City Chiefs to the AFC championship game, back in January 2019, he was a first-year starter who had just guided a long-suffering franchise to a divisional rout of the Indianapolis Colts.

Mahomes is 29 years old. He will turn 30 on Sept. 17, 2025. In just his 20s alone, there's a clear argument to be made that Mahomes could walk away from football as a Hall of Famer. He should have plenty of years to continue building his resume as one of the greatest quarterbacks the game has ever seen.
