While we are used to the wintry weather in Colorado, our neighbors out east are dealing with a historic snow storm that is impacting the way of life in the region.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - After a milder start to the weekend, Central New York is looking ahead to a return of localized lake-effect snow and bitter cold. You can blame a quick-moving East Coast snowstorm for the harsh winter weather on the way.

The trailing coastal low will begin to produce snow early Sunday morning from Virginia up through New Jersey, with snow spreading up the coast into New England by the late morning hours. Snow is expected to continue into Sunday night as it tapers off from south to north.

A record-setting winter storm is pushing east this morning after blanketing much of the Gulf Coast in snow and freezing temperatures. The weather grounded flights in states like Texas and Florida on Tuesday.

An already active winter is about to shift into overdrive as a trio of storms over the weekend and into next week deliver snow to the Midwest, East and possibly as far south as the Gulf Coast.

Storm Enzo is already impacting portions of the U.S. South and could drop several inches of snow in spots not typically accustomed to such winter conditions.

A rare winter storm charging through Texas and the northern Gulf Coast on Tuesday has closed highways and airports and prompted the first blizzard warning for southeast Texas and southwest Louisiana.
