SYRACUSE, N.Y. - After a milder start to the weekend, Central New York is looking ahead to a return of localized lake-effect snow and bitter cold. You can blame a quick-moving East Coast snowstorm for the harsh winter weather on the way.

Residents of the East Coast should prepare for another dusting of snow and ice as it has been reported that several storms are currently brewing along parts of the Midwest to the Appalachians.

The trailing coastal low will begin to produce snow early Sunday morning from Virginia up through New Jersey, with snow spreading up the coast into New England by the late morning hours. Snow is expected to continue into Sunday night as it tapers off from south to north.
