Santa Rosa police are investigating the four people found dead in a home during a welfare check Wednesday afternoon as homicides.

A homicide investigation is underway Wednesday after four people were found dead inside a home in Santa Rosa, officials said.

Police found found bodies inside a home located in a senior citizen community in Santa Rosa. No cause of death has been released. Police said there was no ongoing threat to public safety.

SANTA ROSA, Calif. - The Santa Rosa Police Department has confirmed four people have been found dead inside a home on Wednesday. A police sergeant told KTVU they arrived on the scene of the home on the 200 block of Monarch Court this afternoon and found the individuals inside the home but could not confirm the cause of death as of yet.

A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run on Highway 101 in Santa Rosa Saturday night, the California Highway Patrol said.
