Navy accomplished something mighty Alabama couldn't on Friday: beat mediocre Oklahoma.The Midshipmen downed the Sooners, 21-20, in the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl, busting the Crimson Tide's case as a College Football Playoff snub.

One of the biggest omissions, according to many fans and media pundits at ESPN, was the Alabama Crimson Tide. While Kalen DeBoer's team finished with a 9-3 record and had wins over Georgia, Missouri, and LSU, their losses to Tennessee, Vanderbilt, and Oklahoma stuck out like a sore thumb.

The Oklahoma Sooners and Navy Midshipmen will clash in a battle of wagons and boats in the Armed Forces Bowl. Oklahoma enters the game off a disappointing first year in the SEC, finishing 6-6 and barely achieving bowl eligibility.
