Asus, Samsung, and MSI are all announcing the industry’s next-generation QD-OLED gaming monitors that offer the benefits of 4K OLED 240Hz panels at the smaller 27-inch size instead of 32 inches.

MSI has announced the MPG 272URX QD-OLED, a new gaming monitor with many of the latest features in a single package. This 27-inch display is reportedly the first to offer QD-OLED technology with 4K resolution and a 240Hz refresh rate, along with DisplayPort 2.1a support, as reported by VideoCardz.

When Samsung unveiled the world’s first 27-inch 4K gaming OLED monitor on Thursday, Engadget’s Igor Bonifacic predicted that other vendors would soon follow suit. (After all, Samsung is also the biggest supplier of OLED gaming monitor panels.
