Natural Chimneys, known as the Cyclopean Towers in the 19th century, is a natural rock structure located near Mt. Solon in Augusta County, Virginia in the United States, in the Shenandoah Valley.

Best place to camp if you want to do what you want regardless of the “rules”. Once the sun goes down “camp hosts” are in bed so you can do what you want. Even the local residents come In and take sho… Full review by Aaron H

Amazing to see these unique formations. It’s not a long visit, but got to run around reading the plaques and took some amazing photos to remember our family travels. Full review by beckymL6163XD

Didn't know what to expect, but was amazed when we saw them in person. 120 feet tall and 500 million years old. We were in awe. Great place to visit. Full review by Magicgal50

How far off of 81 is the park?
A:
Hi it was about a 30 min drive. Its worth the detour. Its a beautiful site.

Are the tent sites out in the open or are they under the trees?
A:
I have seen both. Some sites are shaded, others are open or partial shade. We camp in a Motorhome, not a tent, so this is just from our walks around the park itself.

Sorry, I really don't know. We hiked up to the base of the chimney's but did not hike to the top. We have been there twice and never made it that far. Going back again in October …
