Be careful when swimming there, it has a tremendous undertow and signs are posted.

I believe it’s the one on Left as you come into the park about 1/2 mike from the visitor center. Stop at the building at the entrance and there are maps of the park.

The floods mostly come in Spring. Mostly. October should be relatively safe. I don't recall the park flooding at any time during Autumn, at least not during recent history.
