The trail/boardwalk is a bit hard to find, but easiest is to park near the Bayside Cafe and walk down to the trail head. Follow the dirt trail loop (.7 ml) and it becomes a wonderful wooden boardwal… Full review by Europeadventure2012

If you want to be in downtown Morro Bay the Estero Inn is very nice. For a quite more intimate location with an awesome view of the changing tide try the Back Bay Inn.

There are birds everywhere but you can walk out on the boat docks, around and on Morro Rock there are lots of gulls and Peregrine Falcons; if you can get on a skiff with Mike at (I forgot the company name - but you can find my review). He is great and take you all over the bay and see the heron and cormorant rookery.
