WEBFeb 11, 2022 · That's an extremely black and white approach to what a "complete ROMset" is. If you have the concept of "complete <Platform> ROMset" then it's not exactly uncommon to see people will wanting a subset of said ROMs to play, perhaps from the region they grew up playing the original platform on. And, hell, such ROMsets already exist.

I started going down the list and grabbed the ones I had as a kid, then the ones I could never rent or my parents couldn't afford.. then hit the top X sports games for PS2 and so on. I have about 400GB at this point between PS2 and PSX. That also includes NES thru N64 as well

WEBSep 5, 2024 · For anyone who is curious, though, these 40GB figures you keep seeing are for all ROM's from the mid-90's and below. Once you move into the PS1, you start looking at >1TB for each region uncompressed. Gamecube is 1-2TB uncompressed for everything. I think PSP is similar. Encrypted 3DS dumps end up being about 1TB, I think.

Do you keep an entire romset for a console or curate your own
WEBBellow PS1, full romset with all regions and hack, each merged inside 7z files. PS1 and after : full romset with french lang priority. Not a pal romset, I take game one by one and if the us version have the fr lang or non have I take the us version. For some games on some console I take both pal and us due to 50hz bad conversion.
