WEBPre-owned systems are always the better option, but from what I've seen lately the bar is set low when it comes to the QA of trade-ins now. This is usually the case but very dependent on the store employees. If they’re really bad refurbished might be better.

If u buy refurbished u might get a system that’s been broken and repaired a number of times, or u might get one that is brand new from and old bundle that has been in bundled. Ask to take a look at it before u buy it. U can usually tell just by looking at it.

I've bought a total of 7 pre-owned consoles from GameStop (Xb1, wiiu, 3ds, DS and dsi, xb360 and PS4) Out of all of those, only the 360 had issues, but I got it swapped out, no problem :)

When stores get a request, they ship what they have. It's not coming from a giant warehouse with 50 copies. And if it was, they'd still have some without original art.
