WEBDec 3, 2020. #17. Civ 6 with expansions (no need for the Frontier Pass though, at least not yet). I do still have some issues with 6 and I don't think I'll ever have more fun playing Civ than I did with Civ 4 back in the day (even the mods were incredible). But 6 is the one to play in 2020 imo. It's a good time and they've added a lot since launch.

WEBApr 19, 2024 · Love all the bosses, yes even how and when they repeat. Love the scope of the world. Love the last 20% of the game post Leyndell. One of the best games ever made easily, inarguably. Tears of the Kingdom is a more than worthy direct sequel to the greatest game of all time to this point. That's all that really needs to be said honestly.

I've never felt the "plot" to be so well defined in a From game as that one, plain and simple. Secondly I would give it to Dark Souls 2.

I know people say this a lot for all kinds of games, but for me, Civ 6 truly is the perfect portable game. It's an addicting game that can make any train or plane trip feel shorter.

WEBJun 30, 2020 · Civ5 was one of the last major 'change' games where the 1/3 new significantly altered gameplay design (hex tiles vs square tiles) and removal of unit stack being huge change. Civ 6 as the follow up to 5, refined a lot of the 'new' systems introduced in 5 with adding 'new' things that were not as big of a shift.

It's now more like picking religious tenets or government civics instead of what it used to be, which was functionally picking a character in the form of a whole culture .
